Outstanding Effort from Our Ivanhoe Swim Athletes
A huge congratulations to our National Open swimmers who represented Ivanhoe Swim at the 2025 Australian Short Course Championships — a milestone event that brought together some of the country’s top talent, including the Australian Dolphins and world-class Olympians.
Competing on this stage was an incredible opportunity for our athletes to gain experience, test their skills, and see what it takes to perform at an elite level. Each swimmer displayed professionalism, resilience, and the Ivanhoe spirit throughout the meet.
A standout performance came from Eli, who continued his impressive season with exceptional results at his second National Short Course Championships. Eli placed 2nd in both the 50m and 100m Butterfly (age category), ranking 7th nationally in the 50m Butterfly and 13th in the 100m Butterfly. He also completed his first-ever official 25m Freestyle, finishing 7th overall — right alongside Olympian Cameron McEvoy.
This high-intensity program was designed to test speed and endurance, and Eli rose to the challenge brilliantly — performing with composure and consistency among some of the world’s best. As team captain, he also led by example, encouraging and supporting his teammates both poolside and throughout the season.
We’re incredibly proud of Eli and all our swimmers who represented Ivanhoe Swim with such determination and professionalism. Competing at this level is not only a reflection of their hard work in training but also of the strong culture of support and excellence fostered across our club.
Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic Short Course season — filled with learning, achievement, and memorable experiences that will no doubt fuel even greater success in the months ahead.
